Santa Margarita River Trail - Summer Engagements
Haley and David, clearly it’s simple to see the love and happiness between these two. Their entire engagement shoot they shared laughs & jokes which made it extremely easy for us to capture. Not to mentioned the obsession we had over the location they decided on, between David, loving to fish and hike while opening Haley up to more adventures, they shared one of their first dates here at Santa Margarita Trail in Fallbrook, Ca. As a side note… let us say how much we adored their choice in wardrobe! Simple, relaxed yet fit their personalities, embracing patterns and colors! Here are some of our fav’s! Xox.
Choosing a location for your engagement shoot is never an easy decision. With so much beauty surrounding us here in Southern California, as wedding photographers we have our fair share of options to choose from when scouting the best engagement locations. We love leaving the freedom up to couples on where they decide to take their engagement photos, however sometimes it can be flat out hard if you are not to particular on what scenery you want. That’s why we have put together a few of our favorite locations for you to consider when it is time for you to take your engagement photos.
Santa Maragrita River Trail – This 220 acre preserve is tucked between Temecula and Fallbrook and offers great trails for engagement photos, if you are getting married in Southern California and looking for an outdoor scenery to showcase to friends and family this is a great choice. Given the distance from San Diego it is easily accessible off Highway 78 as well for residents from Temecula and Murrieta. We strive to meet our clients half way and this is an ideal location for Southern California engagements.
Mission Trails – At 5,800 acres there is no shortage of ideas for photos at Mission Trails. This is the sixth-largest municipally owned park in the United States. We have been taking engagement photos here for several years and love shooting here in fall as the leaves turn color it is a beautiful scene.
Cowels Mountain – If you are seeking a view over San Diego look into this beautiful mountain. This offers dramatic vistas of nearby lakes in the distance and is for couples who want more of an adventurous style engagement shoot.
Scripps Pier – If you take a look at our recent blog we have taken many of our clients here who want beach engagement photos. Living in San Diego we have become beach photographers in San Diego. It is amazing taking engagement photos at Scripps Pier and exploring the Southern California coastline.
Sunset Cliffs – Similar to Scripps, there is a vast amount of coastline to explore. Although we do not take photos here as often, we would love to connect and take engagement photos at Sunset Cliffs. There are so many different areas and caves to explore and at low tide we are able to get on the beach and roam the sand.
La Jolla Coves – Looking for a La Jolla engagement photographer? We are based in La Jolla and consider the coves home. We love shooting in La Jolla Village and heading to Windan Sea which is often the least crowded of the beaches here. Feel free to check out our blog post from our recent beach engagement.
