Small Mountain Elopement in San Diego National Forest

It’s been a busy past couple weeks for us, and we have never been more excited to say that! From small intimate weddings to large family ceremony at private events, couples are still choosing to tie the knot and say I do. After years of planning for some couples, and countless efforts to postpone, many are deciding to follow through and still get married just in a vastly different way then anyone had expected. This past weekend thats exactly what happened with Shawn and Lauren. On Saturday we took off on the I-8 East for one of our favorite locations in San Diego, Mount Laguna in the Cleveland National Forest. Shawn and Lauren’s family both flew out from Texas and rented one of the raddest airbnb’s we have visited with mounted animals and views of the surrounding mountains in each and every direction, while making their own ceremony site overlooking it all. We cannot wait to go through all of the images to share from this weekend, but for now here are a few sneak peaks!

As mentioned, we could not be more excited to be back shooting and experiencing epic locations like this with amazing people. Not only were the views amazing but Shawn and Lauren were the sweetest, most welcoming people which made our session that much more memorable. There were times when we just stopped shooting because we were talking about life and future plans, these are the kinds of weddings we live for, no specific itinerary just great people in the best of locations celebrating what’s most important, two becoming one.

If you are based in San Diego and looking for a similar setting to have your wedding we 100% recommend you go for it! Each venue is handling weddings differently and makes it extremely tough for you as the bride and groom to coordinate with friends and family on if the wedding is still on, large private residences are becoming more popular to host your wedding, making sure you still are able to get married. Thanks for stopping by, and hope to connect soon!
