Winery Wedding in Temecula Wine Country // Kendal & Tracey

A look back from Kendall & Tracy’s wedding in the vineyards of Temecula Wine Country at Peltzer Winery. This wedding venue has so many unique places to shoot at and as often as we work here, we feel we are still finding new areas to photograph at. We had such an incredible day photographing Kendal and Tracey’s wedding and excited to share the full day with you. Their grand entrance in the crush house followed by their first dance among family and friends was hands down one of the highlights from their day, check out the full recap from their wedding below.

Tell us about your wedding! What was the inspiration behind your day? Did you have a specific theme, style or color palette? Did you incorporate any cultural or religious traditions in any part of your day?

We originally had booked our wedding April 25, 2020 but postponed due to the pandemic. With all the chaos that came with postponing (and the year as a whole!), we really wanted a wedding that was as laid-back and stress free as possible! We went with a simple bohemian vibe with neutral colors like blushes, taupe, and creams.

Let's talk wedding decor. How did you decorate your space for the ceremony and the reception? Was any part of the decor DIY?

Our venue is a stunning farm and winery, so decor was quite easy and simplistic thanks to the gorgeous property. Our ceremony was outdoor right in the middle of the property's farm, with wooden benches and wisteria trees blooming with Spring flowers. Down the aisles laid eucalyptus greenery, and at the end of the aisle was a gorgeous arch beaming with blush florals and a touch of pampas grass. Cocktail hour was located next to the ceremony site under mulberry trees. The reception was located inside the gorgeous winery, a large rustic barn. We had long farm tables for our guests and a head table for our bridal party. The tables had gold geometric lanterns and gold candles throughout the reception.

Did you personalize the day in any way (food trucks, guest entertainment etc.)? What were some of your favorite parts of your wedding?

We had our Uncle Joe marry us is a casual & quick ceremony, complete with the "just right" amount of romance and humor. It was perfect! He did an amazing job of setting the tone for the evening. One of my favorite parts of the evening was during the father/daughter and mother/son dance, we asked all fathers and daughters and mothers and sons to join the bride and her father and the groom and his mother. It was so sweet to share that moment with all of our guests, and there weren't many dry eyes out there!

How did you meet? Tell us about the proposal.

We met in 6th grade Spanish class at our junior high school. We chatted often on "AIM" after school and remained friends for the remainder of junior high. We attended different high schools, but a year after graduation, we rekindled and began hanging out again. We went on our first date June of 2012 and have been inseparable since...the rest is history! He proposed in 2019 at his 27th birthday dinner in front of all of our closest family and friends, he opened one of his "gifts" that was a little black box and popped the question!

What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day?

The whole day was so special, but I would have to say our first dance as a married couple topped the whole evening. You are so excited in that moment to celebrate and have a good time, yet time stands still and you really don't notice anyone else there but the two of you. It was amazing!

Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you'd like to share with other couples planning their day?

Considering we postponed and I had an extra year to think things through, I would say to not overthink the little stuff. It's YOUR day as a couple, and it's all about celebrating your love. Don't worry too much about the little things. Don't forget to actually enjoy the planning and being an engaged couple. Taste all of the food and cakes, make it a date!

What an epic night getting to celebrate these two! We’re so stoked to have been a part of such an exciting day and so glad to share all the wedding photos on our blog, for the video head over to check out even more from their day :)
