Beach elopement over the coast of Sunset Cliffs
We have shot numerous wedding days here in San Diego, but this may have been the ultimate San Diego wedding. Liam & Sarah started their week flying into their home town here in San Diego from Washington State to celebrate and get ready for the big weekend. They started the night before with a welcome dinner where they had friends and family stay with them right on the boardwalk in Mission Beach where we met up with them to start coverage of the day. After a few shots with friends and a first look with both Liam & Sarah as well as her dad, we made our way to OB for their favorite Taco Spot, Mike’s Taco Club. It’s one thing to have a snack in your wedding dress, it’s another to eat a couple tacos with hot sauce, but Sarah made it look all too effortless. After grabbing a quick bite, we roamed the beach of Ocean Beach where Sarah used to life guard and she showed us around the tower and introduced us to a few of her old co-workers.
With friends and family waiting for us at the cliffs, we made our way over to our favorite beach in San Diego for the big moment, their ceremony. With the rain we had just had this winter, the flowers were in full bloom, and made the ideal backdrop against the cliffs and water. It was the most perfect beach elopement, and they went back to celebrate at their Airbnb followed by a large reception the following day at Liam’s parents.
As we always say, there is no “right” way to plan your wedding, and go with the vibe of who you are, and how you want your day to flow. Liam and Sarah did just that and we could not have been more ecstatic on how the day turned out. What a day! Liam and Sarah celebrated their intimate wedding day along the coast of San Diego with family and friends. We started the day with them getting ready in Mission Beach and shortly after made our way to OB for street tacos and meeting a few of Sarah's friends who toured us around the life guard station. When you start your day with Tacos and handing out with old lifeguard friends, this truly was the ultimate San Diego wedding. After a quick pit stop in OB we were off to Sunset Cliffs for one of the most beautiful wedding ceremonies. We are so excited to share the full video, hope you enjoy.
